Senior community members (age 65+) who live in the District are invited to participate in the Senior Activities Pass program.

The August 30 issue of the Community e-Newsletter is now available! The publication covers student and staff successes, School Board news, and school and Community Education offerings.

Before students head back to school for the 2026-27 school year, families can find important information on the district’s Back to School page of the website.

First Days of School:
Aug. 31: Gr 6 & 9
Sept. 1: Gr 1-5, 7-8 & 10-12+ (all in Gr 1-12+ attend)
Sept. 2: K (all in Gr K-12+ attend)
Sept. 8: Early Childhood programs

As the Building Our Future construction projects come to fruition – with the Early Childhood and Transition Education spaces at Sunrise being finalized to welcome those programs in the fall – it is a meaningful time to pause and reflect on this transformation that has been a massive undertaking.

At the June School Board meeting, Associate Principal Jenni Sjosten shared an update on the district’s former Area Learning Center, which has been officially recognized by the Minnesota Department of Education as an Alternative Learning Program (ALP). As a program of White Bear Lake Area High School, this transition creates even stronger opportunities for collaboration with WBLAHS while deepening the program’s connection to the White Bear community.
